Beside we have new video for Resources 1.4 (how to install) in Video blog section we changed video service provider.  It means that now most of the video stream not from Vimeo but from Brightcove. Vimeo was great and easy and sure it is cheaper. But it was illegal to publish commercial content there. And our videos was more commercial because could be considered as promotion videos.

Brightcove is enterprise solution and they are for commercial videos. It is much advanced. Now with the same file size we have better quality and bigger player window 640x480. The quality good enough to expand it to full screen.

Also player looks better and fit site style. 

And last, now you can publish this video on your site. On every video you will find Publish button that gives you variety of publishing options. 

We have updated the page Understanding JoomSuite. It describes VIP statuses, karma statuses and how you can get Karma points. In the future it is possible that people with bigger Karma will get some discount.

JoomSuite Resources is now available both free and advanced versions. The Advanced version includes a greater amount of features and full support. Some partial support is available for users of free version as well via Support Desk/Forum.

It is long way we got to this 1.4 release point. Resources 1.4 is outstanding CCK component for Joomla have been greatly improved and advanced. Yet now it is GPL. Though advanced fields, templates, icons and now filters and later tools available only with advanced suite.

We honestly believe that resources is so good that every Joomla installation should have it installed. That is why we did it GPL. We want it to be not affordable but available for everyone.

Also remember if you have your site running stable and you do not desperately need new features, do not update until we release at least RC. But with a speed it is used by users I sure in 1-2 weeks we release stable version.

As promised component-by-component we are moving forward and creating documentation for all JoomSuite Components. We have now added documentation for Inbox component to the online doc server and additional formats to the download section.

In next version of Inbox, documentation will be also available from toolbar help button.
